On Monday, the Imagine Prep Storm faced the Premier Prep- PHHoenix Open Fire in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Imagine Prep took a 48-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Premier Prep- PHHoenix Open. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Imagine Prep has scored all season.
Imagine Prep lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaylen Cassidy, who scored 13 points along with two steals. Cassidy has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Kelton, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Imagine Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Premier Prep- PHHoenix Open, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Imagine Prep will take on Bella Vista College Preparatory School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bella Vista College Preparatory School and Imagine Prep are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Premier Prep- PHHoenix Open, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Premier Prep- PHHoenix at 4:00 p.m. Premier Prep- PHHoenix will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Premier Prep- PHHoenix Open is ranked 25th).
