Talihina added to the longest winning streak in A District 6 this week by beating Gore, 49-8. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
Talihina took down the Pirates 49-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Alan Lockhart threw for 215 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 32 yards during the win.
He went 7-9 with 0 interceptions.
Kirby Needham was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 162 yards as Quinton topped Gore. Jake Lemons also contributed to the rushing game with 77 yards on the ground.
Talihina's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Golden Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Lockhart has thrown for 1,249 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, while Mcclain has 32 catches for 376 yards. Lockhart also leads the league in rushing with 1,007 yards.
The Golden Tigers led A District 6 in scoring this week by notching 49 points on Craig Bivins' team. Lockhart ran for 32 yards in the win.
