Andrew Blair Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Superior got the W thanks in part to Andrew Blair playing the best football he has all season. Blair rushed for 262 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.6 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The win got Superior back to even at 4-4. Blair and Superior will square off against Valley Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Kino Lorona and Co. Win 20th in a Row
Hayden picked up their 20th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Kino Lorona. Lorona produced his best game of the campaign : he rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also picked up 67 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 61 yards.
Cicero Prep Academy's probably not too fond of Lorona given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Lorona saw the Centurions), he picked up 68 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown.

Tyler Garner Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Tyler Garner was instrumental in extending Hayden's winning streak to 20 on Friday. Garner turned in his biggest game of the season, rushing for 165 yards and two touchdowns. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 100.1 rushing yards per game.
On the season, Garner has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 100.1 rushing yards per game.

Superior Gets a Boost from Duarte in 60-40 Win
Ryland Duarte posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.
On the year, Duarte has averaged 57.9 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 23.14 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 37 rushing yards.

Hayden Wins 20th-Straight Thanks to Paul Gaither
Paul Gaither was instrumental in extending Hayden's winning streak to 20 on Friday. Nobody could stop Gaither as he threw for 145 yards and four touchdowns on only ten passes.
Cicero Prep Academy had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Gaither it was a similar story. Gaither threw for 238 yards and five touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes the last time he and the Centurions duked it out back in October of 2023.
