Gate City won the last time they faced Richlands and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Gate City Blue Devils had just enough and edged out the Richlands Blue Tornado 8-7.

Brayden Cox was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Zachary DePriest was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Gate City now has a winning record of 1-0-1.

Looking ahead, Gate City will head out on the road to square off against Richlands at 5:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Richlands, they will challenge Fort Chiswell at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Richlands has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
