Basketball Recap: Falls Lake Victorious

East Wake Academy came into Monday's matchup looking for another win against Falls Lake, but Jonathan Taylor- Hamilton wouldn't allow it. The Falls Lake Firebirds took down the East Wake Academy Eagles 66-52 on Monday thanks to Taylor- Hamilton, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards. He is becoming a predictor of Falls Lake's success: when he posts at least ten rebounds the team is 2-1 (and 4-14 when he doesn't).

The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Feimster, who posted 11 points along with five boards and three blocks. Those three blocks gave him a new career-high.

Falls Lake's record is now 6-15. As for East Wake Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Falls Lake has already played their next contest, a 55-41 loss against Raleigh Charter on the 12th. As for East Wake Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-45 defeat against Research Triangle on the 11th.
