Prince George's County 4A recap October 8, 2013
Suitland added to the longest winning streak in Prince George's County 4A this week by beating Laurel, 54-6. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Rams.
Parkdale was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from ninth to fifth in the league. The Panthers beat High Point 16-14 earlier in the week.
Wise's dynamic duo of Isaiah Black and Reggie Ware proved to be unstoppable against Northwestern, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Black threw for 163 yards and 1 touchdown and Ware had 64 yards receiving. Nate Hampton, Jr helped Wise's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 50 yards.
The Spartans' Mason Duckett and Cailen Walker have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Duckett has thrown for 941 yards this season, while Walker has 17 catches for 365 yards. Teke Carlson from Eleanor Roosevelt leads the league in rushing with 392 yards.
A big matchup in Prince George's County 4A this week will be when Flowers takes on the Eagles. At the moment, the Jaguars are in first, while High Point is in eighth.
There should be lots of points scored when the Pumas and the Raiders face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Wise comes in having scored 117 this season, while Eleanor Roosevelt has scored 118. DaLawn Parrish's team scored 50 points last week as it beat the Wildcats.
The Pumas took down Northwestern 50-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Black during the win.
