North Georgia are packing up and hiking across state lines for their contest on Friday. They will take on Copper Basin at 7:30 PM. North Georgia come in off of eight low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
North Georgia took an ego-bruising defeat against South Pittsburg two weeks ago, but they kept their chin up and bounced back last Friday. Last Friday, North Georgia narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past SC Titans 2-0. The victory was a breath of fresh air for North Georgia as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Copper Basin, and their matchup last Friday only extended their streak of losses to eight. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 12-45 walloping at Lookout Valley's hands. The state rankings had actually given Copper Basin a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
North Georgia's victory lifted them to 1-7 while Copper Basin's loss dropped them down to 0-8. We'll find out if North Georgia can add another positive mark to their record or if Copper Basin can shake off the loss and take the spring out of North Georgia's step.
