Haldane is 2-8 against Tuckahoe since September of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on November 10th. After each having a week off, both teams will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 4:00 p.m. on November 10th. Tuckahoe took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Haldane, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Haldane didn't have too much trouble with Woodlands at home as they won 37-20. Given Haldane's advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Woodlands is ranked 495th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Haldane to victory, but perhaps none more so than Evan Giachinta, who rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Merrick Williams and his 105 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Haldane's victory.
Meanwhile, Tuckahoe was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 32-27 to Dobbs Ferry.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jax Colacicco, who threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Jackson Snyder was another key contributor, picking up 97 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Haldane's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Tuckahoe, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Haldane was able to grind out a solid victory over Tuckahoe in their previous meeting back in September, winning 21-13. The rematch might be a little tougher for Haldane since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
