Basketball Recap: South Fork Beats Benjamin for Their Third Straight Win

South Fork extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 9-3. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 45-40 W against the Benjamin Buccaneers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2016.

As for Benjamin, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Benjamin still got an impressive performance from Logan Buchanan, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. Buchanan is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke Rubin, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

South Fork wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 50-33 loss against Jupiter on the 2nd. As for Benjamin, they have also already played their next matchup, a 38-37 win against Westwood on the 2nd.
