The Fike Demons pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 70-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beddingfield. Fike has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Fike still got an impressive performance from William Monk, who scored 24 points along with 5 rebounds. Monk scored a full 41.4% of Fike's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Cameron Pittman, who scored 6 points.
Fike's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Beddingfield, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Fike has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome SouthWest Edgecombe at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. As for Beddingfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Hunt at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hunt will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
