Eau Claire lost to Keenan on the road by a decisive 55-39 margin on Friday. Eau Claire was down 48-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
It was another big night for Brian Sumpter, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks for Keenan. Sumpter hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nyheim Mcneil, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Eau Claire has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Keenan, their win bumped their record up to 6-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eau Claire will challenge Gray Collegiate Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Gray Collegiate Academy's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Eau Claire has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. As for Keenan, they will take on Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
