Goddard extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 4 this week by beating Carlsbad, 20-17. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Goddard and the Cavemen played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Goddard eventually emerging with a 20-17 victory.
David Nunez put up the best numbers through the air as Roswell fell to Moriarty. He finished with 10 completions for 110 yards and one touchdown. Nunez's favorite target this week was Hiram McIntyre, who caught five passes for 56 yards.
Gavino Saiz was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 177 yards on 19 carries as Artesia defeated Clovis. Trevor Eulenbach also contributed to the rushing game with 47 yards on the ground.
Rodriguez was the best wideout in 4A District 4 this week as the Bulldogs bested the Wildcats. Rodriguez racked up nine receptions for 142 yards. Weston Leaonard helped Artesia's passing attack out by catching five balls for 80 yards.
Artesia's Eulenbach and Rodriguez have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Eulenbach has thrown for 1404 yards this season, while Rodriguez, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 29 catches for 667 yards. Nunez from the Coyotes leads the league in rushing with 725 yards.
Cooper Henderson's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on Clovis. Saiz caught four passes for 47 yards in the win.
