Softball Recap: Kingman Wins Going Away Against Highland Prep

Kingman won the last time they faced Highland Prep and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Honey Badgers with a sharp 16-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Destiny Hartley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaitlynn Martin, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two RBI, and one double. Destiny Kogianes was another key player, going 2-for-4 with five RBI and one run.

Kingman now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Highland Prep, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Kingman didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-1 victory against Ash Fork/Seligman on the 24th. As for Highland Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 23-3 win against Madison Highland Prep on the 24th.
