Volleyball Recap: Magnificat Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Magnificat won the last time they faced Padua Franciscan, and Lindsey Murphy did her part to make sure it happened again. The Blue Streaks put the hurt on the Bruins with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday with plenty of help from Murphy, who had 15 digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Magnificat was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-11, 25-19.

Magnificat has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. As for Padua Franciscan, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Magnificat didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Bishop Watterson on the 22nd. As for Padua Franciscan, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Anthony Wayne on the 22nd.
