After losing to the Lumpkin County Indians the last time they met, the Commerce Tigers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Commerce walked away with a 47-35 victory over Lumpkin County on Saturday.
Commerce's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malay L miitchell, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was L miitchell's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Collins, who scored nine points along with 14 rebounds and three steals.
Commerce's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Lumpkin County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
