The Fremont Tigers pushed their score all the way to 57 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lincoln High. Even though they lost, Fremont's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 51.5 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite the defeat, Fremont saw an underclassman step up: Coriahnn Gallatin scored 17 points along with 5 assists. Gallatin scored a full 29.8% of Fremont's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Vacha, who scored 10 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincoln High to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaiah Ramadan, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 15 rebounds. Aj Graham was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lincoln High, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Fremont is on the road again on Thursday and play against Lincoln Northeast at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th. Hopefully Lincoln Northeast focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday. As for Lincoln High, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Kearney at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Kearney focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
