Madeline Sowell looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had over her last seven contests.
On the hitting side, Jayla Sites was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Hayden Hodge was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Hernando kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.

Lanie Howe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on nine hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
Hernando's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
