The Hernando Tigers will challenge the Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebels at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hernando will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Hernando's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Southaven. Considering the Tigers have won seven matchups by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Madeline Sowell looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had over her last seven contests.
On the hitting side, Jayla Sites was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Hayden Hodge was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Hernando kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Tipton-Rosemark Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Choctaws. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Lanie Howe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on nine hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
Hernando's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hernando hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. However, it's not like Tipton-Rosemark Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .366.
