Softball Recap: Milford Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Milford waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Monticello Buckaroo get on the board and left with a 23-0 win. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Buckaroo, too.

Hadley Griffiths was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kloee Dotson, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Milford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .522 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Milford's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Monticello, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Milford didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 19-8 victory against Delta on the 27th. As for Monticello, they will challenge Milford at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
