On Friday, The Reed Raiders faced the Spanish Springs Cougars in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Reed took a hard 21-3 fall against Spanish Springs. Having soared to a lofty 48 points in the game before, Reed couldn't push the score so high this time.
Nishaan Bajwa rushed for 84 yards on only ten carries. Zachary Taylor was his top target, picking up 91 receiving yards.
Spanish Springs can attribute much of their success to Tate Hummel, who threw for 285 yards and three touchdowns. Spanish Springs also got help from Christopher Shakespeare who showed off his sure hands for 102 receiving yards.
Reed's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Spanish Springs, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
Reed does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Spanish Springs also has no future games currently scheduled.
