Hamilton is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Badin is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Big Blue will welcome the Rams at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, Hamilton got the win against Colerain by a conclusive 15-3.
Meanwhile, Badin made easy work of Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy on Thursday and carried off a 20-3 victory.
Kendall Ponatosaki was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs.
In other batting news, Badin got a massive performance out of Emily O'Brien, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs O'Brien has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Ella Kent, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Badin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive matchups.
Badin's win bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Hamilton, their victory bumped their record up to 14-7.
Hamilton got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Badin by a conclusive 9-1 score. Will the Big Blue repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
