The Harford Tech Cobras will take on the Perryville Panthers at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Harford Tech has given up an average of 11.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Bel Air hit Harford Tech with a four-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cobras came up short against the Bobcats, falling 12-1. The Cobras have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Harford Tech saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lyric Strong, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Strong has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Perryville). They blew past Elkton 24-11 on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Taegan Spier made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Spier was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Taylor McGuirk, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayleigh Adams, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Perryville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .587. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Harford Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Perryville, they moved to 4-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
