AAAA Region 5 recap December 3, 2013
Carrollton extended the longest winning streak in AAAA Region 5 this week by beating Stockbridge, 24-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Alexander fell to Wayne County 51-21 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Sandy Creek's Cole Garvin and Demarre Kitt have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Garvin has thrown for 2,034 yards this season, while Kitt has 48 catches for 861 yards. The Cougars' Mikell Lands-Davis leads the league in rushing yards with 2,261.
Jarvis Terrell of the Carrollton is only 34 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 105 carries Terrell has accumulated 966 yard this year.
