If the Nordonia Knights were feeling good off their 60-11 takedown of the Valley Forge Patriots last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Nordonia was beaten by Brecksville-Broadview Heights 66-36 on Wednesday. Nordonia was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Brecksville-Broadview Heights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Jessie Zenir, who scored 14 points along with eight steals and six rebounds for Brecksville-Broadview Heights. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for her. Ashley Perdion was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Nordonia's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nordonia will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Solon at 1:00 p.m. on January 6th. Solon presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Nordonia in Ohio (Solon is ranked 45th, while Nordonia is ranked 325th). As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, they will head out on the road to face off against North Royalton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
