Springtown has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Bridgeport Bulls at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Springtown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 754th, while Bridgeport is ranked 142nd).
Springtown suffered their biggest loss since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 60-30 loss at the hands of Krum. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Springtown in their matchups with Krum: they've now lost nine in a row.
Despite the defeat, Springtown got a solid performance out of Esther Balado, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Bridgeport posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They breezed by Lake Worth on the road to the tune of 61-16. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Bridgeport has posted against Lake Worth since January 15, 2016.
Springtown's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Bridgeport, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.
Springtown was dealt a bruising 67-22 defeat at the hands of Bridgeport in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Springtown was down 40-3.
