The Flandreau Fliers will look to defend their home court Monday against the Deuel Cardinals. Flandreau is cruising in on a three-game winning streak while Deuel is stumbling in off of eight consecutive losses.
The Fliers were able to grind out a solid win over Flandreau Indian this past Thursday, winning 64-54. Flandreau found their leader in underclassman sophomore Tash Lunday, who posted a double-double on 33 points and 16 rebounds.
Meanwhile, we expected Deuel to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked DeSmet this past Thursday, and they did. Deuel has to be aching after a bruising 67-40 loss to DeSmet. Deuel was down 49-30 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
The Fliers are now 10-8 while Deuel sits at 3-17. Flandreau is 4-5 after wins this season, and the Cardinals are 2-14 after losses.
