It was another big night for Addy Guldberg, who scored 14 points along with 8 steals and 6 rebounds for Leadership Academy. Guldberg is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Brooke Swigert was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 6 steals.
Cornerstone Charter bumped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.2 points per game. As for Leadership Academy, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Cornerstone Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Carver at 5:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Leadership Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Piedmont Classical at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Piedmont Classical will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 381st, while Leadership Academy is ranked 98th).
