Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Southeast Halifax Trojans, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against the Vikings on Friday, falling 36-0. While losing is never fun, Southeast Halifax can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Tarboro is ranked 66th).
Trayvese Silver threw for 110 yards on ten of 16 attempts. Travis Johnson Jr. was his top target, picking up 50 receiving yards. On the ground, Demarcus Sterling rushed for 65 yards.
Kamerin Mcdowell-moore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tarboro, rushing for 140 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Caiden Everette and his 116 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Tarboro's victory.
Southeast Halifax's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Tarboro, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Southeast Halifax does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tarboro will be playing at home against East Bladen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Bladen is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
