Even though the Easley Green Wave scored an imposing 60 points on Tuesday, the Daniel Lions still came out on top. Daniel walked away with a 71-60 win over Easley. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Daniel.
Daniel was led to victory by Tristyn Carrington and Brady Jones. Carrington scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Jones scored 21 points along with four steals. Jones continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Simms Disbrow, who scored 11 points.
Easley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Will Patton, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds, and Ethan Crews who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. The game was Crews' ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Freeze, who scored seven points.
Daniel is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Easley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Daniel will be home for the holidays to greet Blacksburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Easley, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Walhalla at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Walhalla is ranked 195th, while Easley is ranked 187th).
