Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Deckerville). They put the hurt on the Ubly Bearcats with a sharp  78-56 win on Friday. The  victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won three  contests in a row.
Deckerville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Hunter Garza led the charge by  dropping  a double-double with 24 points and 11  boards. With that strong performance,  Garza is now averaging an impressive 2  steals per game.  Logan Shanks was another key player,  dropping  a double-double with 13  points and ten  rebounds.
 Deckerville was working as a unit and  finished the game with 18  assists. They are 8-3 when  they've passed the ball that well.
Deckerville's win bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Ubly,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at five games  and leaves them with a 15-8 record.
 Looking ahead, Deckerville will take on Kingston at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Deckerville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Ubly does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
