The Riverview Sharks will square off against the Sickles Gryphons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Riverview knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Sickles likes a good challenge.
On Wednesday, Riverview made easy work of Tampa Bay Tech and carried off a 19-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Sharks, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Riverview got a massive performance out of Alivia Garry, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Garry a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kara McGuire, who went 3-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Riverview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Sickles didn't have quite enough to beat Wesley Chapel on Wednesday and fell 6-5.
Zoe Mello put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Mello was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Kalyssa Austin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Taylor Morrissey was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Riverview is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Sickles, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-16.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Riverview has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Sickles struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Riverview came out on top in a nail-biter against Sickles in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. Do the Sharks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gryphons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
