If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Prairie. On Friday they take on Waterloo West at 7:15 PM. Waterloo West will need to watch out since Prairie have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Prairie might be getting used to good results now that the squad have four wins in a row. They took the game and then some with a 41-6 win last Friday over Jefferson. Followers of Prairie probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Waterloo West, and their match last Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. They took a serious blow against Cedar Falls, falling 0-55.
Prairie's victory lifted them to 6-1 while Waterloo West's defeat dropped them down to 3-4. We'll find out if Prairie can add another positive mark to their record or if Waterloo West can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Prairie's step.
