North Sequoia recap September 24, 2013
Liberty scaled the state rankings by moving to 394 from 426 this week, the biggest jump in North Sequoia. The Hawks climbed the ranks as a result of beating Fowler 41-7.
Kerman lost to Kingsburg 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Liberty's dynamic duo of Zach Richey and Travis Jordan proved to be unstoppable against the Redcats, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Richey threw for 230 yards and 4 touchdowns and Jordan had 132 yards receiving. Bevin Brandt helped Liberty's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 45 yards.
Mike Nolte's team's dynamic duo of Richey and Jordan proved tough for Fowler to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Jordan was the best wideout in the league this week as the Hawks beat Steve Nelson's team.
Anthony Stewart was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 116 yards on 18 carries as Chowchilla defeated the Redcats. Troy Uphoff also contributed to the rushing game with 31 yards on the ground.
Richey put up the best numbers in passing as the Hawks beat Fowler.
The Lions' Evan Sagariballa and Jorge Godinez have formed a dream team this season, leading North Sequoia in both passing and receiving yards. Sagariballa has thrown for 434 yards this season, while Godinez, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 15 catches for 250 yards. Richie Brandt from Liberty leads the league in rushing with 294 yards.
