Aledo put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 54-7 victory over the Brewer Bears. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-0.

Nash Mcelree had a dynamite game, throwing for 249 yards and four TDs while completing 81.2% of his passes, and also rushing for 66 yards. Those 249 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Kaydon Finley was another key player, picking up 131 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Aledo was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 168 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Aledo's record is now 3-0. As for Brewer, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Aledo wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 56-7 win against Birdville on the 19th. As for Brewer, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-14 defeat against Richland on the 19th.
