If the Fairfield Falcons were riding high off their 63-19 takedown of the Chase Kats last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Fairfield had to suffer through a rough 74-46 loss at the hands of Skyline. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Fairfield has suffered against Skyline since February 15, 2019.
Calen Wente and Connor Fowler certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Wente scored 15 points along with eight rebounds, while Fowler scored 15 points along with four steals. Wente hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games.
Fairfield's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-4. As for Skyline, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3-1.
Fairfield on the road again on Wednesday and play against Burrton at 1:00 p.m. on January 17th. As for Skyline, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against South Barber.
