Chyann Soule was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Soule was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring five runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Jade Zabala was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI.
Meanwhile, Indian River gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past Booker T. Washington 31-9. The Braves not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 12, 2024.
Like Green Run, Indian River also got a great game from a two-way player: Brianna Morse. On the mound, she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Morse was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.
In other batting news, Indian River let Avery Ward and Ryann Moore run wild. Ward scored five runs and stole eight bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances, while Moore fired off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Tiasia Green, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Green Run skirted past Indian River 4-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2016. Does Green Run have another victory up their sleeve, or will Indian River turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
