The Rifle Bears extended their postseason success on Saturday against the Eaton Reds. They came out on top against the Reds by a score of 24-15. The victory was familiar territory for Rifle who now have nine in a row.
It was another big night for Logan Gross, who rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 195 yards and a touchdown. Gross is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Isaac Valencia was another key contributor, rushing for 111 yards and a touchdown.
Rifle pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.9 points per game. As for Eaton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.
Rifle will square off against Delta at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Delta will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. Eaton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
