The Blacksburg Bruins will challenge the Christiansburg Blue Demons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Christiansburg took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Blacksburg, who comes in off a win.
Blacksburg's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed two weeks ago. They blew past Radford 15-0.
Madelyn Williams made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Sydney Deane and Clara McMahon did most of the damage at the plate: Deane got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double, while McMahon went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three runs gave Deane a new career-high. Sullivan Shealor was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Christiansburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Pulaski County, falling 13-3.
Christiansburg saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Neel, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Another was Alliyah Akers, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Christiansburg's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Blacksburg, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.
