Smyrna put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Hendersonville Commandos. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly four runs.
Adaeze Nwogbo made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). Nwogbo was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Shayla Skalnik was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.
Smyrna's record is now 3-0. As for Hendersonville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Smyrna will challenge Lebanon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
