The Sterling Raiders can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sharpstown 82-32 on the road. With Sterling ahead 42-11 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Sterling's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Darnell Williams, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Williams hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Augustine, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Sharpstown lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jhase Eaton, who scored nine points along with three steals. Edwin Lobo was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Sterling has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Sharpstown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-21.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sterling will take on Austin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Austin is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Sharpstown, they will be playing at home against Galena Park at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
