Scarsdale and Mamaroneck are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2014, but not for long. The Scarsdale Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Mamaroneck Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New York (Scarsdale is ranked 198th, while Mamaroneck is ranked 199th).
Scarsdale unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of John Jay by a score of 17-14.
Despite the loss, Scarsdale got a solid performance out of Camden Matles, who gained 110 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Mamaroneck pushed their score all the way to 33 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Suffern by a score of 35-33. It was the first time this season that Mamaroneck let down their fans at home.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 5-3.
Scarsdale was taken down by Mamaroneck 38-7 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Scarsdale, Jason Cox (who rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
