Basketball Recap: Macarthur Extends Winning Streak to Four

MacArthur lost to Glenwood back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The MacArthur Generals walked away with a 69-60 win over the Glenwood Titans. The victory was nothing new for the Generals as they're now sitting on four straight.

When it comes to explaining why Glenwood lost, don't look at Rowann Law. Despite the final result, she went 8 of 20 en route to 21 points along with five boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave Law a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hope Gilmore, who posted ten points and eight rebounds.

MacArthur has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Glenwood, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-5.

MacArthur will head out to take on Taylorville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in MacArthur's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Glenwood, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Alton at 7:00 p.m. Glenwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season.
