The River View Raiders lost against the WestSide Renegades last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. River View took a serious blow against WestSide, falling 64-37. River View was down 45-25 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
River View's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaci Hatfield, who scored nine points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Pruitt, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
River View's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6. As for WestSide, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. River View will face off against James Monroe at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for WestSide, they will head out on the road to take on Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. WestSide is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
