Meanwhile, Oak Grove's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 77-38 loss at the hands of Northwest Rankin. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Oak Grove has suffered yet this season.
Pearl's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Oak Grove, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
Pearl took their victory against Oak Grove when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 76-52. Will Pearl repeat their success, or does Oak Grove have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
