When it comes to explaining why Valparaiso lost, one person who can't be blamed is Becca Gerdt. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. The matchup was Gerdt's 13th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cadynce Clark, who scored 12 points along with five assists.
Leading Noblesville to victory were Meredith Tippner and Reagan Wilson. Tippner dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Wilson scored 29 points along with five steals. Those 29 points set a new season-high mark for her. C.C. Quigley was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Valparaiso's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4. As for Noblesville, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Valparaiso and Norwell will round out the year against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Norwell is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. Noblesville will finish 2023 at home by hosting Fort Wayne Snider at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Wayne Snider will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
