Paxton had won six straight games and Alyssa Carson did her part to make it seven on Thursday. The Paxton Bobcats came out on top against the Baker Gators by a score of 44-32 thanks in part to Carson, who posted 12 points and three steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2023.

Another player making a difference was Kenzie Lassiter, who earned four points. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Paxton pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Baker, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paxton will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Poplar Springs at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
