They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 59-37 walloping at the hands of Legacy Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Middletown Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 798th, while Legacy Christian Academy is ranked 260th).
Leading Legacy Christian Academy to victory were Jacob Thompson and Parker Burke. Thompson dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Burke scored 23 points along with five assists and five rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Burke has scored at least 25% of Legacy Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was David Cancino, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Middletown Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
