The Bellevue Redmen will head out on the road to face off against the Willard Crimson Flashes at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Bellevue is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
Last Monday, Bellevue was able to grind out a solid win over Clyde, taking the game 56-45. Given Bellevue's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while Clyde is ranked 556th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Willard ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Norwalk and snuck past 70-68. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Bellevue is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Willard, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.
Bellevue and Willard were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but Bellevue came up empty-handed after a 46-45 defeat. Can Bellevue avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
