Center Place won the last time they faced the Christian Learning Center Mustangs, and things went their way on Friday too. It was close, but Center Place ultimately received the gift of a 46-43 victory from a begrudging Center Placesquad. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points they have scored all season.
Christian Learning Center's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Koch, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Rhodes, who scored 11 points along with six assists.
Center Place pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Christian Learning Center, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Center Place will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Heartland at 7:30 p.m. on January 11, 2024. As for Christian Learning Center, they will head out on the road to face off against Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Plaza Heights Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
