The Sulphur Golden Tors had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 45-34 victory over New Iberia on Thursday. The victory was just what Sulphur needed coming off of a 45-0 loss in their prior contest.
Addison Constance was on fire: he rushed for 180 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns. John David LaFleur also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Sulphur's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for New Iberia, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sulphur will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Comeaux at 7:00 p.m. on November 2nd. Comeaux is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for New Iberia, they will head out on the road to face off against Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lafayette is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
