Basketball Recap: Manhattan Homeschool CHIEF Falls Short of Lighthouse Christian in the Playoffs

Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF and Lighthouse Christian squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF had to settle for second. They fell 79-68 to the Lighthouse Christian Chargers. Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Lighthouse Christian earlier this season, when they won 60-48.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lighthouse Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Judah Louderback, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 22 points. Elijah Rahn was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.

The loss snapped Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-13 record. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. As for Lighthouse Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-11 record this season.

Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lighthouse Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dallas HSAA at 6:20 p.m. on Friday. Lighthouse Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.6 points per game this season.
